In Prince George, we're working towards food security in many ways. Food Access maps can help show us where we might need to focus on Food Security initiatives. Charitable food organizations help to support people in immediate need for food.

Check out the Prince George Farmers' Market for local produce and other goods every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm at 3rd and George Street from May to October.
Shop Smart Tours are available through Save-on-More stores in Prince George. You can take a tour specially tailored towards parents of toddlers through the grocery store, which highlights specific nutrition issues. The tour is guided by a Registered Dietitian and provides an opportunity to learn about healthy foods, and strategies for buying nutritious, affordable food for toddlers and preschoolers.
